With over a decade of experience in marketing, compliance, and project management, Ms. Thomas is a seasoned professional known for delivering strategic solutions across both public and private sectors. She has successfully supported clients and government agencies in achieving complex compliance objectives, with a strong foundation in business process reengineering and regulatory requirements.
As a senior leader at MWEB, she manages multiple departments including Sales and Channel Development, Marketing, Administration and HR, IT Support, and Community Outreach. Her cross-functional leadership supports MWEB’s strategic initiatives through public relations, RFI/RFQ management, SAM registration, and compliance reporting across federal agencies including GSA and the U.S. AbilityOne Commission. She also plays a key role in budget development, policy implementation, and organizational training.
Ms. Thomas leads MWEB's CORE initiative where she has doubled community outreach. In 2024, CORE sponsored Kalamazoo's first White Cane 5K. Additionally, MWEB was nominated as a Michigan Manufacturers Association’s 2024 “Manufacturing Community Impact Award” Finalist. CORE collectively contributed 1,440 hours to the Kalamazoo Community in 2024.
Her ability to translate regulatory frameworks into actionable business processes is exemplified by her past experience working for National Industries for the Blind (NIB) where she implemented initiatives that ensured JWOD, OSHA, DOL, SCA, FAR, and other federal regulations were met.
Ms. Thomas is an ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor with experience in annual internal audits aimed at process improvement and operational excellence. She has a background in intellectual property, managing patent projects and USPTO compliance. Ms. Thomas holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Project Management, along with two graduate certificates in Leadership and Project Management, and undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Legal Studies from Lake Superior State University.
Beyond her professional career, she is a dedicated community advocate. She has served as a Guardian ad Litem, giving a voice to abused and neglected children in court proceedings, and as a Poll Manager ensuring fair and lawful elections. She also brings her passion for wellness into the community as a certified Barre instructor, helping individuals achieve their fitness goals in a supportive environment.
